Description

This is a public event organized for the general public.
Separate Indico agenda of this event: here.

Since 2019, artist-architect Jan De Coninck has been working on an impressive project: a monumental light installation in the Mont Blanc massif called Triangle. To overcome the technical challenges of this installation, he entered into a collaboration with professor Nick Van Remortel, one of the leading figures behind the European Einstein Telescope (ET) project.

There are striking parallels between De Coninck's artistic work and Van Remortel's scientific research, both in the field of design and technology. During this event, Nick Van Remortel and Jan De Coninck will discuss these interfaces. The discussion will be moderated by Johan Braeckman, who will also delve deeper into the intriguing relationship between art and science.

The event is followed by a reception.
