DESCRIPTION:Workshop on optics related themes of the FWO-IRI project.\n\nM
 orning: IRI WP 1 (mirrors\, coatings\, polishing)\nAfternoon: IRI WPs 2 &
 3.1 (lasers\, photonics\, interferometry)\n\nDescription:\nIn Flanders\, i
nvestments related to the Einstein Telescope (ET) have increased recently.
The largest funding source is the FWO IRI-Project “Empowering Tomorrow'
s Technological Horizons for the Einstein Telescope”. Other activities a
re financed by the ET-EMR Project Office\, Interreg\, etc. Research in thi
s quickly developing new field takes place at numerous Flemish universitie
s and institutes. A large community of scientists is actively working on a
multitude of groundbreaking scientific and technological challenges relat
ed to the Einstein Telescope.\nIn order to bring this active community tog
ether\, we will be organizing a number of workshops in June 2026\, each fo
cusing on a specific domain. In this way we want to foster dialogue and in
formal scientific discussions across scientists active in similar or relat
ed fields\, within the realm of ET-related work.\nThis workshop pertains t
o Core Optics\, Optical Components\, Optical Systems and Photonics. Resear
chers will present their recent/ongoing work and new insights. Next to tha
t\, opportunities will be created for informal discussions and networking.
A draft agenda\, as well as instructions for presenters can be found on t
he indico.\nLocal organizing committee: Tatevik Chalyan\, Jorden De Bolle\
 , Christophe Detavernier\, Archisman Ghosh\, Daniela Pascucci\, Paul Put\,
  Hugo Thienpont\, Nathalie Vermeulen\, Michael Vervaeke.\nVenue: \nCampus
