Description

First edition of the Global Croque Monsieur Workshop (GloCroMoWo).

We are very pleased to announce the first edition of the Global Croque Monsieur Workshop (GloCroMoWo), to be held on the 16th of October in the beautiful town of Gent, Belgium.

At GloCroMoWo, you can expect a rich choice of the finest cuisine from around the world, all stuffed between two slices of bread and put in a croque monsieur machine. The program will consist of hands-on tutorials, tasting sessions, and discussions on recent developments in the field of croques (bread consistency theory, next-to-next-to-leading layer calculations, flavour combinatorials, etc.)

Participants are encouraged to actively engage in the croque design and preparation, and will be able to compete for the following three prestigious prizes:

  • Best overall croque.
  • Weirdest croque which is surprisingly not as bad as one might expect.
  • A poster prize for the best scientific poster on a croque-related subject.

Please mark the 16th of October in your calendars!
See you at GloCroMoWo 2024!
